"The City of Melissa is a fast growing North Texas community with a population of approximately 1,736. Melissa is located fifty miles north of downtown Dallas. Highway 75 and Highway 5 (McKinney Street) provide easy access south to Dallas, Austin and San Antonion, and north to Oklahoma. Highway 75 also intersects with Interstate 635, the major business loop around Dallas. State Highway 121 runs northeast and southwest providing access south to DFW International Airport and south to the Dallas North Tollway.
